and identity
Founded in Natal by Thierry Tomé, Lapela Trajes grew from a close relationship with sewing, fabric and the culture of formal menswear. The brand approaches tailoring through variety and personal expression, combining precise fit, considered construction and personalised guidance for the person who will inhabit each piece.
That attention to individuality became the starting point for Eden’s visual work. Rather than treating the suit as a static symbol of formality, the film observes what happens when it meets the body: fabric responding to gesture, a lapel caught by the light, a hand adjusting the silhouette and small details revealing the character of the whole.
The pale green tailoring establishes a quiet confidence. Against deep shadow and angular sunlight, its colour changes from soft and restrained to graphic and assertive. The camera moves between portrait and fragment, allowing the garment to be read first as presence and then as construction.
Photography extends this rhythm through stillness. One image holds the complete silhouette; another isolates the lapel, cuff and watch. Together, the frames show that elegance does not depend on excess. It is built through proportion, material, posture and the precision of every choice.
For Eden, the project is a meeting point between fashion, film and storytelling — a way of translating Lapela’s commitment to detail into a visual language that feels contemporary, cinematic and unmistakably personal.
